How Weight Loss Works:

I am going to be brutal here. If you are overweight then you are eating too much. It's as simple as that. If your intake of food exceeds the amount of energy you use every day then you will store the excess calories as fat. To lose weight you have to limit the number of calories you take in as food whilst increasing your activity to burn-off the fat you have already stored.

Like most things this sounds very simple in principle, but is actually very hard to do in practice. There are some secrets, like eating more soups and broths which help keep you feeling 'fuller' for longer. Also eating dairly products help in eliminating fat from your diet. These are all proven facts, as is the fact that increasing the amount of protein in your diet will also increase the level of 'fullness' that you feel. But the steps to permanent weight loss are hard, I'm certainly not denying that.
