This is the home page for the Cletnet TinyLink maker. If you are an Internet Marketer they you know the problem of having your affiliate links stripped from your URLs so that you are not paid your fair commission for any products you promote.
If you use e-mail marketing then you are aware of long affiliate URLs being split across new lines in an email and thus being broken. Even if you're not into internet marketing you may have long URLs in your forums and articles directories (such as: http://www.celtnet.org.uk/phpBB2/search.php?sid=2e329bd1e6bd885c7f02e8d8f271ff09 — see how that URL's been split here?). These look ugly and are not good if you're promoting your forum in an on-line article, for example.
Long URLs are therefore not a good idea, for many reasons. The free service offered below uses an encryped database to shorted these URLs so that you can cloak long urls or simply truncate them.
I've suffered from all these problems myself and that's why I decided to produce this service. I could have made somethign simpler, agreed, but I'm a computer programmer and I tend to over-engineer for robustness. As a result I had a system that I could use but whose utility would also suit many other internet marketers and website owners.
