Sudanese Rice Recipe

Origin: Sudan      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

600g rice
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
pinch of turmeric
pinch of coriander
pinch of cardamom

Sudanese Rice Preparation:


Method:

Fry the rice in the butter for a few minutes, until each grain is coated then add sufficient water to cover the rice by 3cm. Season with the salt and spices then cover and cook until the water has evaporated and the rice is soft (about 25 minutes).
