Sauce Rémoulade Recipe

Origin: France      Period: Traditional

This is a classic French cold sauce, based on mayonnaise, that is typically served with grilled meat or fish that has mayonnaise as its base.

Ingredients:

300ml mayonnaise sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp English mustard
1 tsp capers, chopped
1 tsp gherkins, chopped
1 tsp parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp tarragon, finely chopped
1 tsp chervil finely chopped
2 anchovy fillets, finely chopped

Sauce Rémoulade Preparation:


Method:

Prepare the mayonnaise according to the mayonnaise sauce then blend in the herbs, vegetables and anchovy fillets before blending in the mustards. This sauce needs a distinct mustard tone, add more if the flavour is not sufficient for you.
