(Steamed Rice) Recipe

Origin: Libya      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

300g brown rice
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt

Ruzz Mbauakhi
(Steamed Rice) Preparation:


Method:

Wash the rice and drain thoroughly. Add the rice to a bowl then stir-in the butter and salt. Add just enough water to cover the rice then set aside to sit for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, bring water to boil in a pan sit a steamer on top or use a colander then place the rice bowl in the colander or steamer, cover and steam for about 35 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
