Punch du Creme RecipeOrigin: Trinidad Period: Traditional |
|
Punch du Creme is a traditional Trinidadian rum-flavoured eggnog that's traditionally drunk at Christmas. In many ways it's very similar to my wife's Liberian Irish Cream (except the Trinidadian version is not cooked, whilst the Liberian version is). This was taught to me by a Trinidadian friend almost 20 years ago and I'm dusting it off so that I can make it for my wife this coming Christmas. Ingredients:
6 eggs, lightly beaten
Punch du Creme Preparation:Method:Beat the eggs and lime zest in a bowl until light and creamy. Add the evaporated milk then sweeten to taste with the condensed milk. Add the bitters and rum then season to taste with the nutmeg. whisk to combine, strain into bottles and refrigerate over night. Serve over crushed ice. Find more Christmas Recipes Here |
