Palestinian Cardamom Coffee RecipeOrigin: Palestinian Period: Traditional |
Ingredients
1 tsp coffee beans (pulverized)
Palestinian Cardamom Coffee Preparation:Method:For proper Arabic coffee you really do need a real cezve (pronounced jezve), a long-handled Turkish coffee pot. It can be made in a small pan, but the results just aren't the same. Combine the coffee, cardamom and sugar in the cezve then add he water. Stir to combine then cook on a low heat until frothy on the surface (but do not allow to boil). Take off the heat and pour or scoop the froth into a demitasse. Return the cezve to the heat and bring to a rolling boil. Pour a little of the liquid into the demitasse then return to the fire and bring the mixture back to a boil. Now pour the remaining contents of the cezve into the cup and serve. |
