Orange Burgundy Chicken Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1.4kg chicken, cut into serving pieces
120g orange marmalade
120ml orange juice
120ml dry red wine (eg Burgundy)
2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt

Orange Burgundy Chicken Preparation:


Method:

Wash the chicken, remove the skin then place the pieces the the base of a crockpot. Combine all the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Whisk to mix thoroughly, then pour this mixture over the meat. Cover and cook on low for between 6 and 8 hours.

Serve hot on a bed of rice with green vegetables.
