Mulled Wine Sorbet Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Modern

If you want something different for Christmas then this mulled wine sorbet makes a wonderful after-dinner treat.

Ingredients:

175ml water
175g granulated sugar
280ml Mulled Wine
1 large egg white

Mulled Wine Sorbet Preparation:


Method:

Add the sugar and water to a saucepan. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves then bring to a boil and immediately take off the heat then set aside to cool.

Add 225ml of your syrup to the mulled wine. Place the mixture in your ice cream machine and churn for 8 minutes. Meahwhile beat the egg white until foamy (but not stiff) then add this to the ice cream machine and continue churning for a further 8 minutes (or until ready, according to the manufacturer's instructions).
