Mogilev Sausages Recipe

Origin: Belarus      Period: Traditional

These are a classic 'country-style' sausage from Belarusia.

Ingredients

300g lean meat (any kind), boned
150g salt pork fat
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
4 tbsp flour
1 tbsp butter, melted
1 egg

Mogilev Sausages Preparation:


Method:

Combine the meat and fat then put through a meat grinder or in a food processor and chop finely. Turn into a bowl and combine with the garlic, salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into small sausages then roll in the flour to coat and lay in a well-greased baking dish (use the melted butter). Whisk the egg and use to brush the top of the sausages hen place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 25 minutes. or until well browned and cooked through. Serve hot with boiled or fried potatoes.
