Malawian Cabbage Recipe

Origin: Malawi      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

450g fresh cabbage, shredded
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
salt to taste
oil for frying

Malawian Cabbage Preparation:


Method:

Add enough oil to cover the bottom of a pan and use to fry the onions for 4 minutes. Add the tomatoes and fry for 2 minutes more then add the cabbage. Stir to mix, cover and cook for about 8 minutes until the cabbage is still crisp but tender.

Season with salt and serve with rice.
