(Libyan Fried Lamb) Recipe

Origin: Libya      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1kg lamb, sliced into bite-sized strips
3 tbsp butter
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp hot chilli powder

Khalyat al Lahm
(Libyan Fried Lamb) Preparation:


Method:

Place the meat in a pan and cook, uncovered, on low heat until the meat releases its juices and all those juices evaporate (about 25 minutes). Now stir-in the remaining ingredients and gently fry the lamb until cooked through and browned (about 15 minutes more). Serve with a bell pepper salad as a starter.
