Bitters, in a nutshell, are a highly flavourful, highly concentrated mixture of a spirit and an aromatic ingredient. They are medicinal in origin, produced around the world and, increasingly, in the bars of committed mixologists. Bitters are created by steeping the ingredients (usually roots, plants, herbs or fruits) in alcohol for a certain amount of time (usually weeks or even months, depending on the desired strength). Ingredients
50g horehound leaves and/or folwers
Horehound Bitters Preparation:Method:MethodMix the herbs with the wine and allow to infuse in a bottle for 2 weeks before decanting and using. |
