Honey Whiskey Clove-glazed Ham
(Honey Whiskey Clove-Glazed Ham) Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

180ml honey
1 1/2 tbsp bourbon whiskey
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 bone-in, fully cooked, spiral sliced ham (about 2.2kg)

Honey Whiskey Clove-glazed Ham
(Honey Whiskey Clove-Glazed Ham) Preparation:


Method:

Combine the honey, whisky and cloves in a small bowl and whisk together. Place the ham, cut side down in a roasting pan then brush with the honey glaze. Cover the pan with foil and transfer to an oven pre-heated to 135°C. Roast for about 60 minutes, or until heated through then remove the foil, baste the meat with the pan juices and increase the oven to 210°C.

Roast for 10 minutes, basting once more, half way through, until the ham is golden brown. Remove from the ocen, cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes before pouring the pan juices over the top and serving.
