Honey and Lemon Chicken Recipe

Origin: Scottish      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

4 chicken pieces (thighs are the most flavoursome)
60g butter
4 tbsp clear honey
3 tbsp lemon juice
4 sprigs fresh rosemary

Honey and Lemon Chicken Preparation:


Method:

Heat the butter in a frying pan and brown the chicken on all sides. Transfer to a lidded casserole dish then add the honey, lemon juice and rosemary to a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Immediately pour over the chicken in the casserole dish and place in an oven pre-heated to 190°C. Cook for 20 minutes.
