Ingredients
6kg pre-cooked ham
Honey Cola Ham Preparation:Method:Prepare the ham by placing in a deep steaming pan with a fitted rack. Pour the soda into pan and bring the level of the liquid up to centre of the ham. Cover and steam (simmer) slowly for 2 1/2 hours. The ham will look very caramelized at the end of this time. Transfer the ham to a cooling rack and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Brush with honey. Score the ham in a diamond pattern and pierce ham with lots of whole cloves. Brush again with honey and bake at 180°C degrees for 30 minutes or until golden. |
