Ingredients:
1 medium smoked pork picnic shoulder (bone in or out) [about 3.2kg]
Honey Baked Ham Preparation:Method:Remove any rind from the ham then make crosswise slits, bout 12mm apart half-wy through the ham to where he tip of the knife just touches the bone. Place the ham in a deep bowl and barely cover with water. Stir-in he sugar then set aside in the refrigerator to soak for at least 2 days. When done, drain the ham then transfer to a roasting pan lined with foil (leaving enough excess to totally encase the ham. Pour the honey and orange juice all over the mea then stick the cloves over the top. Wrap tightly with the foil then transfer to an oven pre-heated to 150°C and roast for about 6 1/3 hours, or until cooked through. Allow to rest for 15 minutes before carving and serving. |
