(Popcorn with Roasted Peanuts) Recipe

Origin: Nigeria      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

100g dried corn
100g roast peanuts
salt to taste
1 tbsp corn oil

Guguru da Geda
(Popcorn with Roasted Peanuts) Preparation:


Method:

Pour the oil into a deep saucepan, sprinkle with salt and place on the stove. Add the corn to the heated oil in the pan, cover with a lid and shake the pan. Leave, covered, on very low heat. You should hear the corn begin to pop — do not open the lid until all the popping has stopped. Pour into a serving dish and serve either warm or cold with roasted peanuts.
