Grilled Turkey Legs Recipe

Origin: Germany      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

4 turkey legs
500g peaches
4 tbsp soft peanut butter
2 tbsp freshly-grated coconut
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp honey
1 piece of ginger, about the size of a walnut
chilli powder, to taste


Grilled Turkey Legs Preparation:


Method:

Pit the peaches then purée in a blender until smooth. Crush the garlic and chop the ginger very finely then add to the peaches along with the coconut and honey. Continue processing until smooth then arrange the turkey legs in a dish and pour the peach purée over the top. Cover and transfer to the refrigerator and allow to marinate for at least 5 hours.

After this time remove from the refrigerator and cook the turkey legs under a grill or on a griddle pan for at least 60 minutes, or until completely cooked through. Turn often as you cook and baste with more marinade each time you turn.
