Gingko Rice Recipe

Origin: Fusion      Period: Modern

Ingredients

1l water
200g brown basmati rice
200g jasmine rice
180g shelled gingko (Gingko biloba) nuts
80g dried wakame (edible kelp, Alaria esculente), or any other edible seaweed, soaked 5 minutes and rinsed
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp thyme, ground

Gingko Rice Preparation:


Method:

Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook, covered for 45 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed.
