Gari, also known as Garri, is a Ghanaian staple, which is fermented and dried cassava which is commercially available in West African stores. Ingredients
150g gari
Gari Biscuits Preparation:Method:Add the gari to a bowl and sprinkle 120ml of water over the top. Combine with the water, making certain that you break any lumps that form apart with a fork. Meanwhile, cut the butter into the flour in a separate bowl until the mixture resembles fine breadcurmbs. Add the baking powder, sugar, salt and gari to the flur mixture and combine well. Form a well then mix the eggs and milk together and pour into the flour mixture. Slowly combine the ingredients together to form a batter. Drop the batter a tablespoon at a time onto a well-greased baking tray. Place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the tops are brown. |
