Fruity Brownie Pizza RecipeOrigin: America Period: Traditional |

Admittedly, it could be argued that this recipe is stretching the definition of a 'pizza' just a little bit. An alternative definition of this dessert could be a 'fudge brownie base with a frosting and fruit topping'. However, it could also be argued that the spirit of this dessert is very much that of a classic pizza. As a result, I have few qualms about including the recipe within this list of classic pizza recipes. Ingredients:
640g Brownie Mix
Fruity Brownie Pizza Preparation:Method:Line a pizza pan with parchment paper then combine then combine the brownie mix with the eggs and milk and pour into the pizza pan. Place in an oven pre-heated to 180°C and bake for about 15 minutes, or until just set. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before transferring from the pan to a serving plate. Meanwhile turn the cream cheese into a bowl and mix until creamy. Now add just enough of the icing sugar to make the mixture creamy. Spread this over the top of the brownie base and top with sliced fruit. Sprinkle the nuts on top then cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. If desired, it can be served with Fudge Sauce. |
