Fruchtsalat Mit Nussen
(Fruit Salad With Nuts) Recipe

Origin: Germany      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1 small honeydew melon
2 oranges
240ml purple grapes
lettuce leaves
12 walnut halves

For the Dressing:
225g yoghurt
juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp orange juice
1 tbsp tomato catsup
2 tbsp evaporated milk
pinch of salt
pinch of white pepper

Fruchtsalat Mit Nussen
(Fruit Salad With Nuts) Preparation:


Method:

Using a sharp knife, cut the peel and pith from the orages then slice crossways into rings (removing any pips as you do so). Next scoop-out the melon with a melon baller. Halve the grapes and remove the seeds.

Line a glass serving bowl with crisp lettuce leaves then arrange the melon balls, orange slices, grapes, and walnuts in layers on top of lettuce. Mix and the ingredients for the dressing in a bowl and whisk to combine. Adjust seasonings then pour the dressing over fruit. Cover and allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before tossing and serving.
