Footi Sauce à la Nene Galle Diallo Recipe

Origin: Senegal      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1 small tin tomato paste
2 tomatoes, pounded to a paste
2 small aubergines, chopped
2 medium onions, chopped
2 Maggi cubes
500g meat, thinly sliced and pounded
350ml oil
6 okra, finely chopped

Footi Sauce à la Nene Galle Diallo Preparation:


Method:

Combine the tomato paste, tomatoes, aubergines, onions and Maggi cubes together in a bowl. Meanwhile add the oil to a pot and fry the meat until well cooked. When done add the vegetable mixture and cook for 30 minutes. Add the okra to the sauce and cook for a further 20 minutes.

Serve on a bed of rice.
