This is an ideal accompaniment to Christmas dinner, but can be used with other strong meats such as game. Ingredients
900g fresh baby sprouts washed and halved
Festive Sprouts Preparation:Method:Chop the bacon crosswise into 0.5cm strips then fry in a little oil for 2–3 minutes, or until opaque then add the sprouts and stir-fry for about 4 minutes. Add the chestnuts and stir-fry for 2 minutes (for a richer flavour 1 tablespoon of dark soya sauce can be added at this point). Then add the butter and allow to melt and coat the sprout mixture.
