Fah-Fah
(Soupe Djiboutienne) Recipe

Origin: Djibouti      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1kg goat meat, cubed
500g potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 head of cabbage, finely sliced
2 leeks, finely sliced
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 garlic coves, finely sliced
1 green chilli, finely chopped
2 onions, finely sliced
salt and black pepper, to taste
1 bunch coriander, chopped

Fah-Fah
(Soupe Djiboutienne) Preparation:


Method:

Add the meat and all the vegetables to a pot. Cover with water and simmer gently for 20 minutes. Add the garlic and coriander and top-up with 500ml water. Allow to simmer for 40 minutes, until the meat is done. Serve in a soup bowl.
