Egyptian Shrimp Pâté Recipe

Origin: Egyptian      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

230g cooked prawns
50g chopped, toasted, almonds
1 tbsp freshly-grated ginger
¼ tsp Ras el hanout
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp finely-chopped parsley
2 kalamata olives , finely choped
salt and pepper to taste
lemon wedges and whole kalamata olives to garnish

Egyptian Shrimp Pâté Preparation:


Method:

Place all the ingredients in a blender and purée until smooth. Shape into a loaf on a plate and refrigerate for 12 hours to solidify. When ready transfer to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges and olives. Serve with pita bread.
