Easter Brisket Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

3kg Beef Brisket; trimmed
2 tsp Onion salt
1 tbsp Celery salt
1 tsp Garlic salt
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp Liquid smoke

Easter Brisket Preparation:


Method:

Rub brisket with the onion salt, celery salt, and garlic salt and allow to stand for about 30 minutes. Place in a roasting tin and pour the Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke over the surface of roast. Cover and refrigerate several hours then drain off marinade then wrap the brisket, fatty side up, in heavy duty aluminium foil and seal.

Place in an oven pre-heated to 150°C and roast for 5 hours. Allow to rest for at least 20 minutes before serving.
