Deutscher Makkaroni-Salat
(German Macaroni Salad) Recipe

Origin: Germany      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

250g dried macaroni pasta, cooked, drained and cooled
1/2 apple, cored, peeled and diced
1/2 onion, diced
5 tbsps mayonnaise
240ml Sweet Pickle Relish
4 hard-boiled eggs, diced
1 tsp spicy mustard
60ml reserved pickle juice (or 2 tsp sugar blended whith 4 tbsp vinegar)
salt, freshly-ground black pepper and paprika, to taste

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, toss gently to mix then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably over night) before serving.
