Ingredients:
1 tin (440g) peach halves
Crunchy Almond Glazed Ham Preparation:Method:Drain the peach and pear halves, reserving 120ml of the peach syrup. Combine this liquid along iwth the brown sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and reserve as a glaze. Heat your grill (broiler) and cook the ham some 6cm from the grill for about 15 minutes on one side. Turn the ham over and cook for 10 minutes on the other side. Now arrange the peach and pear halves, cut sides uppermost, around the ham. Brush the fruit and the ham generously with the glaze and cook under the grill until the fruit colour a golden brown. In the meantime, add the remaining glaze to a pan and bring to a simmer. Remove the meat and fruit to a warmed serving plate then spinkle the ham with the almonds before drizzling the remaining glaze over the top. Garnish with the Maraschino cherries and parsley sprigs then serve. Drain peach and pear halves, reserving 1/2 cup peach syrup. Combine peach syrup, brown sugar, lemon juice and mustard for glaze. |
