Crockpot Chicken Soup Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

2 onions, chopped
3 carrots, sliced
2 celery sticks, sliced
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried thyme
3 tsp dried parsley
300g frozen peas
1.5kg frying chicken, cut into serving pieces
1l chicken stock (or water)
100g noodles

Crockpot Chicken Soup Preparation:


Method:

Layer the ingredients in a slow cooker (crockpot), adding them in the order listed. Cover and cook on low for about 9 hours (or on high for 5 hours). One hour before the end of the cooking time remove the chicken, allow to cool, then strip the meat from the bones and return the meat to the slow cooker. Add the noodles then turn to high, cover and cook for 1 more hour. Serve immediately.
