Crockpot Caramel Apple Euphoria Dessert Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

2 medium cooking apples
120ml apple juice
210g caramel candies
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
80ml creamy peanut butter
7 slices angel food cake

Crockpot Caramel Apple Euphoria Dessert Preparation:


Method:

Peel, core and cut each apple into 18 wedges. In a crockpot, combine the apple juice, caramel candies, vanilla extract, cardamom and cinnamon. Drop the peanut butter 1 tsp at a time over the ingredients in the crockpot. Stir to combine then add the apple wedges, cover and cook on low for about 5 hours. Stir the ingredients thoroughly to combine then continue cooking on low for a further hour.

Serve about 80ml of the apple mixture on top of a slice of angel food cake. Accompany with a ball of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
