Crockpot Cantonese Pork Dinner Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

900g pork steaks
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
150g mushrooms, thinly sliced
240g tomato purée
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp white malt vinegar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce

Crockpot Cantonese Pork Dinner Preparation:


Method:

Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan over medium heat then add the pork steaks and brown on both sides. Remove the meat from the pan and combine with all the remaining ingredients in a slow cooker (crockpot). Cook on low for between 6 and 8 hours. Serve hot on a bed of steamed rice.
