Crocked Kielbasa Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

225g lean minced beef
450g Kielbasa sausage, sliced
850g tinned whole tomatoes (with juice)
270g French beans, cut into 3cm lengths
180g pitted black olives
120ml red wine
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, sliced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 tsp dried basil, crumbled
1 tsp dried oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp dried thyme, crushed
1/4 tsp black pepper
450g pasta (farfalle, fusili or any small shaped pasta)
120g freshly-grate Parmesan cheese

Crocked Kielbasa Preparation:


Method:

Fry the beef in a frying pan until nicely browned then transfer to your crockpot (leave the fat behind). Add all the remaining ingredients except the pasta Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine then cook on low for between 6 and 8 hours. Cook the pasta separately.

Place the pasta in the bottom of a warmed serving dish and spoon the Crocked Kielbasa over the top. Garnish with the grated Parmesan cheese and serve.
