Creamy Peanut Toffee Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

60g butter
100g sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
3/4 cup condensed milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
100g unsalted peanuts

Creamy Peanut Toffee Preparation:


Method:

Add the butter, sugar and golden syrup to a pan and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Now add the milk and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and stir for about 8 minutes, or until the mixture becomes the colour of straw. Add the vanilla and peanuts, mixing well.

Pour the toffee onto a well-greased oven tray and leave until set. Break into pieces and store in air-tight jars (not that it will last long!)
