Cream Cheese Crockpot Chicken Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

1 whole frying chicken cut into serving pieces
2 tbsp butter, melted
salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
400ml Cream of Chicken Soup (or a tin)
240g solid cream cheese, cubed
120ml chicken stock
4 cloves garlic, crushed

Cream Cheese Crockpot Chicken Preparation:


Method:

Wash the chicken pieces and pat dry then brush with butter, sprinkle with the Italian seasoning before seasoning with salt and black pepper. Arrange the chicken in your crockpot, cover and cook on low for about 6 hours.

About 45 minutes before the chicken is done brown the onion in a little butter then add the cream cheese, soup and chicken stock. Bring to a boil then add the garlic. Stir to combine and pour the sauce mixture over the picture then cook for an additional 40 minutes. Serve on a bed of rice.
