Cobnut, Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Stir Fry Recipe

Origin: Fusion      Period: Modern

Ingredients

25g butter
1 onion, finely sliced
2 sprigs fresh thyme
150g mixed wild mushrooms, sliced
50g shelled fresh cobnuts
150g chestnuts, roasted and peeled
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Cobnut, Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Stir Fry Preparation:


Method:

Melt the butter in a frying pan over high heat. When the butter begins to foam add the onions and fry for about 3 minutes until they soften then add the thyme and wild mushrooms. Fry for another 3 minutes, until the mushrooms become tender.

Add the cobnuts and chestnuts and fry for about 2 minutes, or until heated through. Season to taste and serve. This makes an excellent accompaniment to chicken and wild game.
