Chocolate Frozen Yoghurt Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

150g sugar
2 tsp cornflour
360ml evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
240ml natural yoghurt
60g dark chocolate

Chocolate Frozen Yoghurt Preparation:


Method:

Combine the sugar and cornflour in pan then add the milk and whisk to combine. Place over medium heat and cook until thickened and just bubbling. Take off the heat then allow to cool to room temperature before adding the vanilla extract and yoghurt. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and chill for 2 hours.

Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie (double boiler) and whilst the chocolate is still hot pour very slowly into the chilled yoghurt mixture and stir gently to combine. Pour the mixture into the bowl of an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
