Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Supreme Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

140g Chocolate Wafer Crumbs
3 tbsp butter, melted
720g cream cheese, softened
150g sugar
35g unbleached plain flour
3 large eggs
120ml sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
150g dark chocolate chips

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Supreme Preparation:


Method:

Combine the crumbs and butter in a bowl and mix thoroughly before pressing into the base of a 22cm diamter springform cake tin. Transfer to an oven pre-heated to 170°C andbake for 10 minutes before removing from the oven and setting aside to cool.

In the meantime, beat the cream cheese until soft then whisk in the sugar and flour, mixing until thoroughly blended. Now add he eggs, one at a time, beating thorughly to combine after each addition. Next blend in the sour cream and vanilla before folding in the chopped chocolate. Pour the filling into the crust then return to the oven and bake for about 55 minutes.

Transfer to a wire rack and loosen the rim (but do not remove). Allow to cool completely before removing the rim of the pan then transfer to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours before serving. If desired, you can garnish with fresh whipped cream and mint sprigs.
