Chicken and Noodles Casserole Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

240g noodles
500g cooked chicken, diced
100g celery, diced
100g green pepper, diced
100g onion, diced
120g mushrooms, sliced
120g pimento
75g freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
360ml cream-style cottage cheese
150g mature Cheddar cheese, grated
400ml Cream of Chicken Soup (or a tin)
120ml chicken stock
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp dried basil, crumbled

Chicken and Noodles Casserole Preparation:


Method:

Cook the noodles, as directed on the packet, then drain and rinse under cold water. Add to a large bowl and combine with the remaining ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Pour the resultant mixture into a greased crockpot then cover and cook on low for about 7 hours (or on high for about 3 1/2 hours. Serve hot.
