Cheese Salad Bowl Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

1 lettuce, washed and separated
1 bunch of watercress, washed and trimmed
225g tomatoes, blanched, peeled and sliced
120g new potatoes, washed, boiled, cooled and diced
240g Cheddar cheese, finely diced
60ml mayonnaise
a little prepared mustard
chopped chives and/or parsley

Cheese Salad Bowl Preparation:


Method:

Use the lettuce and watercress to line a salad bowl. Now combine the tomatoes, potatoes and cheese in a bowl. Mix in the mayonnaise with a little mustard and stir into the potato mixture to combine. Place this mix in the centre of the bowl and garnish with the chives and/or parsley. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
