Champ 2 Recipe

Origin: Ireland      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

4 large Baking potatoes
50g butter
160ml milk
70g spring onions, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Champ 2 Preparation:


Method:

Peel the potatoes and cut each one into 3 chunks. Bring a pan of lighly-salted water to a boil and add the potatoes. Cook for about 25 to 40 minutes, or until tender then drain and transfer to a bowl. Mash well with the butter then stir in the milk, onions and seasonings. Transfer to a pan and heat gently, beating until smooth. Serve hot.
