Cayenne Pepper Ice Cream Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

2 eggs
1 tin (250ml) sweetened condensed milk
50g sugar
50g brown sugar
600ml whipping cream
600ml single cream
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
3 ripe cayenne peppers, de-veined, de-seeded and finely chopped

Cayenne Pepper Ice Cream Preparation:


Method:

Whisk together the eggs then add the condensed milk and continue whisking until thoroughly mixed. Now add the sugars and mix thoroughly to combine before adding the whipping cream, single cream, salt and vanilla extract. Whisk to make certain the sugar has all dissolved then add the cayenne peppers and place in the refrigerator for 4 hours to chill.

Pour the mixture into the bowl of an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions.
