Butter Coconut Biscuits RecipeOrigin: Australia Period: Traditional |
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
Butter Coconut Biscuits Preparation:Method:Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Meanwhile add the butter, golden syrup and milk to a small pan and heat until liquid and combined. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix then add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix in to form a fairly stiff dough. Turn this onto a lightly-floured work surface and knead lightly. Pinch small bits off the dough and roll into balls about 3cm in diameter. Pace on a greased baking tray, flattening slightly so they stay in place (and spacing at least 6cm apart) then transfer to an oven pre-heated to 160C and cook for about 15 minutes, or until nicely golden brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking tray then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. |
