Broad Beans with Angelica Recipe

Origin: Britain      Period: Traditional

Ingredients:

400g fresh broad (fava) beans
2 angelica stems, cut into 1cm lengths
butter, for garnish

Broad Beans with Angelica Preparation:


Method:

Wash the broad beans then transfer to a pan of boiling, lightly-salted water along with the angelica. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the beans are just tender.

Drain the beans, transfer to a serving bowl, dot with a little butter and serve.
