1.5l picked blackberries
Blackberry Schnapps Preparation:Method:Pick over the berries and remove any unripe or blemished ones. Wash thoroughly, then leave to drain before spreading on a tray and setting in the sun to dry. Transfer the dry blackberries to a large jar and cover with the vodka. Seal the jar tightly then place in a dark place to infuse for at least 4 weeks. Each time you pass by agitate the jar to help the infusion process. After this time decant the liquid then filter into bottles. Seal tightly and place in a cool, dark, cupboard to mature for at least 6 weeks (2 months is best) before serving. |
