Bird Nests with Jellybeans Recipe

Origin: America      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

450g chow mein noodles
500g miniature marshmallows
3 tbsp butter
30 small jellybeans

Bird Nests with Jellybeans Preparation:


Method:

Line a baking tray with foil and grease with spray-on cooking oil or butter. Pour the noodles into a large bowl. Meanwhile, melt the butter and marshmallows over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Pour the marshmallow mixture over the noodles, stirring until well coated. Rub some butter on your hands then form the noodle mixture into six round balls. Place these balls on the prepared baking tray. With the back of a teaspoon, press the centre of each ball to make a hollow indentation.

Allow the nests to set until they are firm. Then fill each with 5 small jelly beans. (you could also use M & M's, small gumdrops, chocolate covered raisins, chocolate covered peanuts, or whatever takes your fancy).
