Betroot Salad Recipe

Origin: Moldova      Period: Traditional

Ingredients

3 medium beetroot
3 garlic cloves, minced
75g ground walnuts
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt, to taste


Betroot Salad Preparation:


Method:

Bring a pan of lightly-salted water to a boil then add the beetroot and boil for about 25 minutes, or until tender. Remove from the pan and set aside until they can be handled. Peel the beetroot then grate and add to a bowl.

Combine the remaining ingredients with the beetroot then cover the bowl and set aside to infuse for at least 1 hour before serving as a side dish.
