Ingredients
200g finely-chopped celery
Beer and Cheese Soup Preparation:Method:Boil the celery, carrot and onion in the chicken broth until almost tender (about 10 minutes). Mix flour and butter together into a paste and stir this a spoonful at a time into broth. Cook and stir until thickened then bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Reduce heat to a low simmer and add the beer and cheese. Mix together until smooth and all the cheese has melted. Heat until the soup comes just to serving temperature then serve immediately. |
