Ingredients:
450g beef fillet
Beef with Ginger and Honey and a Sour Cream Sauce Preparation:Method:Combine the salt and pepper with the flour and use this mixture to coat the meat. Combine the butter and oil in the base of a roasting tin and when the butter begins to foam add the beef and fry on all sides until nicely browned all over. Pour the honey over the top and sprinkle the ginger over this. Transfer to an oven that's been pre-heated to 190°C (do not cover) and bake for about 35 minutes. Remove from the oven at this pint then cover the meat with foil and set aside to rest for at least 5 minutes. In the meantime, combine the ingredients for the sauce in a pan. Whisk to combine, then bring to a boil before reducing to a simmer and cooking for 2 minutes more. Slice the beef quite thickly, arrange the slices on a plate and spoon the sauce over and around the meat. Serve immediately. |
